Tracr needs no account, and we keep as little as we can. This is what we keep and why.
Questions and answers
When you ask a question, we save the question, the answer and the steps Tracr took, so the answer can have its own link and so we can improve the agent. Anyone with an answer’s link can read it. Don’t put personal information in a question.
Limits
To apply the daily limits, we count questions per person. On the web we use a one-way hash of your IP address for this, not the address itself. Where you ask through another platform, we use your account ID there instead. Counts expire after a day.
In your browser
The web app keeps a list of your recent answers in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. We don’t use cookies for tracking or advertising.
Who else sees your question
To answer, Tracr sends your question to Anthropic, which runs the language model, and sends the addresses and transactions involved to blockchain data providers (RPC nodes, indexers and market data services) to read the chain. They process this data to provide their services to us. The site is hosted by a cloud provider that keeps standard server logs.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t try to link the addresses you ask about to you.
Removing an answer
If an answer you asked for should be taken down, message @tracrtech on X with its link.
Changes
If this changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
